EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Picture
Before getting into the body of the business plan, readers will want to read an executive summary.

This is a short summary (restatement) of your report.
It should capture the readers interest and make them want to read more.  If the reader is not interested in what it says, then the lender may not read your business plan.

This should be no longer than one or two pages. It should be written in a clear-simple style. It should include the following:
  • Describe your business concept and communicate what is unique about your idea.
  • Include your projections (data driven forecast) for sales, costs, and profits.
  • Identify your needs (inventory, land, building, equipment, supplies, etc...)
  • State the amount you are interested in borrowing.
