Online Banking / Online Payment Options; Hacking / Viruses; Identity Theft; Social Networking / Online Dating; Online Predators; Online bullying; What age should a child be able to freely surf the internet?; What age should they be allowed to have a computer in their room with the door shut?; Online availability of pictures and videos; Basic Computer Ethics/ Morals / Laws
Video Gaming Industry
Important points to think about
When did the gaming industry begin? (Timeline); Annual gaming console / video game sales; Top selling game; Discuss the hand held controllers to the new ; Edge detection (Xbox Kinect) & Movement controllers (Wii); Violent Games; Do violent games cause individuals to be violent in real life?; What age should children be allowed to play graphically violent games?; Online Gaming; How has this revolutionize the way video games are played?; What age should a child be allowed to play online gaming?; Has the gaming industry peaked? What is the future of the gaming industry going to be like?
Future of Computers and Technology
Important points to think about
We watched a few videos in class over the Future of Technology. Use this to build your project. Where do you see the future of technology? How will future of technology effect (cars, homes, tables, walls, medical industry, advertisements, shopping, video games, banking, cell phones, TVs, the military, etc…)
PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS:
You will create a MININIUM of 12 slides for your presentation.
Slide 1: Title slide – The title of your presentation reflecting your topic.
Your full name. Your class period.
Slides 2 – 11 or more: These slides needs to support your topic with facts. Not just YOUR opinions. Research the topic and provide strong facts.
Last Slide: Works Cited. You will use this slide to document all of the websites you found your information on.
PICTURES: You need add at least 1 illustration/photo on all slides (except your title slide and your works cited slide.)
COLOR: Add color or a design to your background appropriate with your topic.
(Example: Hot Pink slide might not be the best color choice for “Cyber Safety”).
STATISTIC: You must give at least 1 statistic in your presentation.
(Example of a statistic: 1 in every 4 people loves bubble gum.
25% of Americans do not like zebras.) You then must put your source where you got your information into your works cited slide.
CONTENT: You need to have a strong content base on your topic. Give facts that you research. If you give your opinion, what is the fact that makes you have that opinion?
Watch for your Spelling/Capitalizations/Punctuations. Do not OVERCROWD a slide. Too much information should be separated onto another slide.
PLAGIARISM: You will NOT be allowed to copy and paste INFORMATION onto a slide. No Exceptions. Read the information and type it by hand in your words. You may copy and paste your photos.
